Kay began her involvement with Amigos when her daughter spent 8 weeks as a volunteer in the Dominican Republic in 2013.  After seeing the overwhelmingly positive impact that Amigos had on her daughter, and recalling her own amazing college study abroad experience in Paris, she knew continuing the AMIGOS tradition for other youth was a must-do.  When Kay is not busy balancing the books of the Chicago North Chapter, she works for High School District 214 as a Grant Administrator, practices yoga, reads Regency era romances, and dabbles in genealogy.  Kay enjoys living in the Northwest suburbs with her husband and two daughters, but still hasn’t managed to locate and climb Mount Prospect.
